Teaching pattern alteration and fit is her favorite thing to do. She has done this at national/international sewing shows for many years. Her Two Easy Measuring tape set has been an aid for achieving good fit for fashion sewers throughout the world. DESCRIPTION:Workshop: Lorraine Henry — Facts & Fun at Pattern Alteration Boot Camp \nAn in-person workshop; will be simulcast via Zoom (will be recorded) \nA hands-on workshop. – Pattern Alteration Boot Camp where the participants will do alterations using half scale practice patterns for at least 5-6 different “Figure Variations” as we call them! We will cover variations like larger busts\, prominent abdomens\, rounded backs\, long or short midriffs\, larger buttocks\,and as many as we can do in that time period!! They will learn a lot more about why an order is so essential for the best outcome. \nThere will be a $20 kit fee for the workshop for those in person attendees. It includes a binder\, half-scale practice patterns and alteration backing paper\, information sheets and page protectors. \nStudents should bring \n\nScissors to cut paper (small ones work best)\nScotch tape (removable works best!) It is in the blue box at office supply stores and at Walmart in the school section it may be called wall tape.\n 8×11 piece of cardboard or foam board (A little larger is fine) Should be able to stick pins into it!\nA few straight pins\npencil\nsmall ruler\n\nIf remote attendees want to participate in the pattern alterations\, I could send you by email practice patterns that you could email to them so at least they could do some work.  \n  \n$65/$45 members \n$65.00Read more
