Artwear 2025 PenWAG Runway show
GARMENT ENTRY FORM INSTRUCTIONS
This is it! The runway show committees are hard at work and it’s time to finish those garments and submit your final garment entry forms.
This year’s show will showcase both in-person and virtual entries, so our non-local members can participate too!
And we have an online entry form for your garments to make sure everyone who needs a copy of the information gets one. Even better, the same form can be used for both virtual and in-person entries!
You will need to fill out the form as many times as you have garments to submit, so that EACH garment or ensemble has a corresponding form. In other words, you will need a separate entry form for each trip down the runway (or on the screen).
As you fill out your entry forms, please consider the following:
-
- Individual item or ensemble: For ensembles there is a question where you need to list each of the items on your entry form and state how many items are included. For example: “3 item ensemble: skirt, vest, jacket”
- Title of entry: If there is a catchy title you would like to attach to your item such as, “Asian-inspired evening jacket” or, “A kickin’ it in the sun shorts set”, tell us.
- Theme: If there is a particular theme that describes the entry, tell us; otherwise leave this blank.
- Colors: The predominant colors of the entry, if any. (handy as we are putting the show in order)
- Pattern: The company or individual designer pattern number or name. Write “modified” if you changed someone else’s design, or “original” if it is all yours.
- Tell us More: [And try to be concise here…] [Please do this for each item if you’re submitting an ensemble.]
- Fabrics: The type and fiber content, such as “silk twill”, surface design details such as “hand dyed” or “stenciled” (surface design details might alternately fit into “techniques” if you did it yourself)
- Embellishments: Beads, buttons, threads, cords, etc., as well as specific info about them.
- Techniques: Pieced, quilted, tucked, slashed, etc. Some techniques are closely tied to the embellishments. As long as you describe them, either heading is fine.
NOTE: Since the number of garments in the show must be limited, the Runway Show Chairs and the Garment Coordinator will have the final determination on garments and accessories to be included. We hope to showcase as many members’ work as possible!
Additional information for in-person modeled garments:
DELIVERY OF GARMENTS: Place all items to be modeled for EACH runway walk on sturdy hangers and enclose them in a clear garment bag with the entry form securely attached by a safety pin. (That is, one bag for each walk down the runway.)
TIMELINE: Garments will be brought to The Saratoga Community Center, 19655 Allendale Ave., Saratoga at 9:45 a.m. the morning of the show (July 19, 2025).
Applications need to be submitted online by June 1, 2025 with a picture of your entry (even if not finished)
