A frequent visitor to Koos’ workroom and boutique in New York, Marla will show you his collage techniques including fabric slicing, couching, applique, origami patches and using bias tape for both design and finishing edges.  Learn several methods for designing your collage pieces and get tips for choosing fabrics.  See how to combine silk, rayon, linen, cotton, wool, and synthetics.  Discover how to effectively combine colors, textures, prints, plaids, and stripes.  Sample garments, including jackets, coats, dresses, and accessories, will show you a variety of design ideas.  You’ll be ready to design your own masterpiece.

Marla Kazell has been sewing professionally for over 40 years and creates beautiful couture clothing for special clients in Tigard, Oregon. She has presented classes at many national meetings and her travels have taken her to designer workrooms in New York, couture showrooms in Paris and fabric stores everywhere.
