Pamela Schneider
Exploring Lagenlook: Developing your own layered Wardrobe
Pamela’s area of interest is the Lagen or Layered look, anywhere from the Bohemian voluminous, floating layers. to a more contained androgynous look, to the avant-garde look of designer Rundholz. Specifically, she has developed her own take on Lagenlook and created a wardrobe using patterns from Tina Givens and other independent pattern designers. Using one or a combination of layered looks, she encourages individuals to show up in the world as they wish to be seen — including integrating their personal fiber interests such as beading, weaving, stitching. upcycling, mending/boro, mark making, or other unique textile techniques into their created garments.
As part of the presentation Pamela will be doing a free motion applique demonstration.
This will be an extended program featuring some in-person “Look and Feel” time after the scheduled simulcast portion ends.
