Since 2003 she has collaborated with California designer Catherine Bacon and was in the Spring 2005 Ornament magazine in an article on Ms Bacon’s work featuring Melissa’s fabrics. She fell in love with Nuno felting in 2005 and has added felting to her approach to altering fabric.
