Margaret has painted and adorned fabric for costumes for the Lion King, Hadestown, Moulin
Rouge, Wicked, Aladdin and many more. With over 30 years experience painting for Broadway
shows, dance, arena events, ice shows and film, she has a lot of stories to tell! She will talk
about the process – from a designer’s painted sketch, through samples, fittings, painting, paint
corrections, to a finished costume. She specializes in applying metallic decoration on fabric and
other surfaces. and will share sketches, working with drapers, white fittings, painted fabric
samples and completed costumes.
