Ericka comes from a long line of creative, crafty women. One of her first jobs was sewing for her mom, who helped her learn how to create life-like, anatomically correct “stuffed people” using lingerie fabric, wire armature and hand sewing. These dolls were custom ordered by many Hollywood celebrities and others, including dolls for President Carter and his family. She has a degree in design and merchandising from FIDM and at present is a couture designer in Carmel. Her favorite designers are Alexander McQueen and Jean Paul Gaultier.

We now have the opportunity to bring our artwear to another level by incorporating three-dimensional soft sculpture in our garments and accessories. Through her lecture and slide-show, Ericka will demonstrate that sculpture isn’t just for the art gallery – it also can be worn!
